Jo Lott, MPP

Biography
Jo Lott leads research and product strategy at Unlokt. His work focuses on technology entrepreneurship, marketplace design, operational software, workflow optimization, consumer trust, field‑service technology, and product development. His background includes healthcare operations and public policy. His research has been supported through programs funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Since founding Unlokt, Jo has worked closely with locksmith owners and technicians to understand dispatch operations, customer workflows, inventory management, and the day-to-day realities of running a modern locksmith business.
He earned a Master of Public Policy Analysis from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Selected work has appeared in peer-reviewed literature, including research studies on information barriers and access design.
He has been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business and participated in innovation programs affiliated with MIT.
